Despite changes to raw materials, a new kiln and a soon-to-arrive bub, Kim Wallace has created an amazing range of ceramics for our Aves Collaboration.
Based on our love for the natural world, Aves features my black-and-white illustrations of owls, wrens, nests, feathers and little hopping footprints on Kim’s handmade bowls, plates and cups. Kim uses her own special image transfer technique — creating a sepia-like reproduction when fired — ensuring each piece looks unique and distinctively artistic.

Aren’t they gorgeous? Kim will be accepting a limited number of retail and wholesale orders starting tomorrow (Thursday 26 of September) for one week. (Please be aware she has a quickly approaching due date and may have to stop accepting orders early.)
Visit her site at www.kwceramics.com.au to place orders tomorrow or to see all her other gorgeous ceramics (some of which are on sale!).
I will have a selection of seconds and samples from our collection available at the markets: Finders Keepers Melbourne (4-5 October), Markit Fed Square (24 November) or The Big Design Market Melbourne (6-8 December).
