I love visiting schools and libraries and my sessions are fun, engaging and educational.
My interactive sessions can be presented in person or virtually. My sessions are perfect for primary school children, but they are also appropriate for secondary students and adults.
Telling a story through illustrations
Creating a comic or graphic novel
Developing a mystery
Making memorable characters
Writing a story in rhyme
Storytimes are great for pre-school through grade 1 and include 2-3 stories and book-themed drawings or craft.
‘What a wonderful way to celebrate Book Week… with a real life author and illustrator – Renee Treml! This was a fantastic, informative and engaging incursion, which worked in well and reflected the learning the students had been undertaking throughout this Term. The students thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on, real world learning. Renee was certainly a hit with our kids and we are eager to have her back to take us deeper into the art of writing.’ Year 4 Classroom Teacher, Truganina College
‘Renee showed such enthusiasm for telling stories, through pictures, that our students were engaged and animated throughout her visit. We all so enjoyed the time spent learning about drawings and how they can tell a story without words. We have since been using these ideas in our writing sessions.’ Foundation Classroom Teacher, Bellbrae Primary School
‘It was brilliant having Renee at our school during Book Week. She captivated and inspired our Preps, Year 1s and Year 2s, with her sessions focused on illustrating and writing. The students even created their own storyboards. I would highly recommended Renee!’ Junior School Teacher Librarian, Ivanhoe Girls Grammar
‘The sessions were fun, informative and highly interactive – the foundation to Grade 2 students were fully engaged throughout. Both students and teachers came away raving about what they had learned and keen to use that knowledge to further develop their story telling skills. We can’t wait to have her back in the near future to run workshops with our middle and senior primary students.’ Library Manager, Bellbrae Primary School
